Jeff Howes Golf Design is Supporting Sponsor of The 2nd GBC

Jeff Howes is an international golf course designer, originally from Calgary, Canada.  He holds a B.Sc. in Physical Geography from the University of Alberta and a Diploma in Turf Grass management from the University of Massachusetts.
Jeff has over 30 years of golf course experience which includes working closely with some of the world’s leading course designers including Jack Nicklaus.
An accomplished amateur and collegiate golfer, Jeff has developed a healthy respect and appreciation for golf course design, construction and maintenance.
His commitment to the golf course business has taken him all over the world, USA, Canada, Japan and Europe.

One of Europe’s largest Golf Architect Firms, Jeff Howes Golf Design was established in 1991.  The company based in Kilkenny, Ireland, now employs a highly qualified team of experts who are  members of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA).
Jeff Howes is also a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Ireland (GCSAI), Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) and the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA).  
Highlights for the Jeff Howes Golf Design team include:
The Heritage Golf & Country Club, Co Laois, host of the Seve Trophy 2007
a co-design with Seve Ballesteros
The re-design of Fota Island, Cork which hosted the Irish Open in 2001 and 2002 and the additional 9 holes bringing the facility up to 27 holes
The restoration and upgrading of all 18 putting greens at Mount Juliet in preparation for the American Express World Championships in 2002 and 2004
Gowran Park Golf Course, Co Kilkenny - a particular challenge to design the golf course in and around the existing racetrack
International golf course designs and redesigns include Golf Club Adamstal (Challenge Tour Event 2006+2007) and Golf Club Foehrenwald (Austrian Ladies Open 2005/06/07) in Austria, and Thunersee Golf Course in Switzerland
Current projects include – Farnham Estate Golf Club, Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club and the Carrig Glas Golf Club,  a co-design with Retief Goosen as well as projects in Austria, Norway and Hungary
