International golf industry conference – The 2nd Golf Business Conference, will take place in Warsaw on 23-25 of April 2008. The conference oragnised by Golf Poland company is one of the most important meeting grounds in this rapidly developing sector of Europe.
There are 130 golf courses in Central Europe at present, but the numbers are constantly increasing. More and more facilities are beeing build. They differ and are in various development states. From high budget golf facilities to inexpensive, town pitch & putt courses. Similarly, number of golfers grow - over 40.000 people are registered in national golf bodies. It is hard to state the exact amount of players but in Poland alone, about 10.000 people has conntact with this sport. Simultaneously golf tourism is becoming more popular which in the future can become an important part of further golf development.
Great international experts will speak during the conference.
Among them are : Denise Adams, David MacLaren, Jerry Kilby, Terry Coates, Michael Pask, Ian Randell and Geoff Russell.
All speakers have great experience and knowledge in golf business sector. Denise Adams is an international expert and author of over 80 club programmes for golf clubs all over the world. David MacLaren is the director of a goup of the best golf courses in Europe – PGA European Tour Courses, which consists of 11 facilities in different countries. President of Sport Facilities Managers Union, Jerry Kilby has long term experience in managing the best golf courses. Terry Coates, who will be the speaker for the second time on GBC is one of the most famous experts in tourism industry with special emphasis on golf tourism. Michael Pask is a Director of the biggest in the world company involved in sport marketing. The presentation will be also made by Ian Randell, Direcotr of PGA's of Europe. The first conference took place in April 2007 in Wroclaw. Over 100 delegates from 18 countries attended. It was one of the most important meetings of golf industry in a world wide scale. A part from high level of lectures and discussions it was an ideal occasion for business networking.
