| Lodewijk Klootwijk is chief executive of the European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA). This organization represents more than 600 courses in 17 countries. The association was started in 2003 and has three main goals: Grow the game of Golf, Represent the Golf Course owners on a European level and professionalise the golf business. The EGCOA organizes the yearly European Golf Business Conference for owners, suppliers and other stakeholders in the industry. The EGCOA cooperates with various organizations, like Golf Environment Europe, FEGGA, CMAE, EIGCA, EGIA, etc. Toro and ClubCar are preferred suppliers of the EGCOA. The EGCOA likes to cooperate and share information. The EGCOA has strong ties with the US NGCOA, the Candian NGCOA and the Asian AGCOA. Together they form the World Alliance of Golf Course Owners. Lodewijk has been in the golf business since he left University. He managed various golf courses. Lodewijk is a trustee of the Foundation Golf Environment Europe. He lives in Amsterdam with his girlfriend and one child. |
