Relation from The 2nd Golf Business Conference

 

The 2nd Golf Business Conference ended with great success last week. This important meeting of golf industry businessmen took place in Warsaw, Polnad. The conference was knowledgeful because of top level speakers: Denise Adams, David MacLaren, Michael Pask, Jerry Kilby, Terry Coates, Marek Podstolski, Geoff Russell, Mark Casey, Jeff Howes, Lodewijk Klootwijk and Tony Bennet. It was the one and only opportunity to meet such experts in one time under one roof. Moreover conference was fruitful with business contact accross Europe, with special dedication to fast growing markets of Central and Eastern Eurpean Countries.
The golf tournament took place on The First Warsaw Golf And Country Club, the oldest golf course in Poland. The weather was just perfect for the round of golf and the course in good, green condition. The Hole in One prize – the Toro Workman, which was put on hole #3 was not win this time. Peter Brown get the third prize, Thomas Beckmann was the second and the first place was won by Andrzej Miekus.

The next two days were dedicated to golf business. The presentations was on the highest quality level and lead to interesting disscussions among delegates. Michael Pask from IMG World presented criteria of success in golf course development. David MacLaren from European Tour Golf Courses draw our attention to making revenues from the golf course. Jerry Kilby from CMAE was talking about profitable club management. Denise Adams put interesting light on membership marketing – very important thing on every golf course. Geoff Russel from golfbusinessnews.com  - the important on-line information source made presentation about media and opportunities it gives to golf course. Marek Podstolski told about importance of golf professionals and Terry Coates made presentation about tourism and golf – the very important part of golf industry. Jeff Howes presented the most important aspects of modern golf course design. Lodewijk Klotwijk was talking about golf course owner role and Mark Casey presented Ladies European Tour philosophie. The conference ended with presentation of Tony Bennet from PGA's of Europe who was talking about golf prespects.
